Mini Drama - the mini-skein buster shawl knitting pattern

Here’s the thing with little skeins: if you don’t swatch with them, how can you plan a project? But if you swatch, you’ve used up lots of your yarn! Introducing Mini Drama, a flexible pattern for making the most of your mini skeins, half skeins, scraps, or gradient packs.

Mini Drama can be knit as a shawlette or a full-sized shawl depending on your stash, and some sections are adjustable to accommodate yarn usage. Optional tassels can be attached at the three points for extra flair, and the shawl is designed with a versatile linen stitch, making this pattern customizable to both your stash and your wardrobe needs.

Construction

Mini Drama begins with a few stitches at the center top neck, and is worked flat to the points of the triangle. Specific instructions are provided to create the shawlette and the full-sized shawl.

Sizes

Finished shawlette measurements: 52.5 inches / 130.5 cm wingspan; 23 inches / 58.5 cm deep.

Finished shawl measurements: 82 inches/ 208.5 cm wingspan; 36 inches / 91 cm deep.

Project size can be adjusted by working more or fewer rows and varying the stripe pattern.
