Soft Structure - your everyday, three-season pullover knitting pattern

Soft Structure is the wearable one. The pleasurable knit. Engaging, comfortable, and just right for against-the-skin three-season wear.

The Soft Structure pullover features simple cables on the body, while the sleeves showcase wedges of contrasting panels of reverse stockinette stitch. A gentle and modest v-neck collar is finished with a peek of ribbing, and the curling stockinette stitch bind-off echoes the texture in the sleeves and body.

This sweater has also been written in children’s sizes, you can find it here.

Construction

Soft Structure is worked seamlessly from the top down.

Sizes

A (B, C, D, E) (F, G, H, I)

Notice fewer sizes than usual? The large stitch pattern means fewer sizes.

Your best fit

Choose the size closest to your actual full chest measurement: 30.25 (33.5, 36.75, 40, 43.25) (46.5, 49.75, 53, 56.25) inches / 75.5 (83.5, 91.5, 100, 108) (116, 124, 132.5, 140.5) cm

Soft Structure is designed to fit with approximately 3 - 5 inches / 7.5 - 12.5 cm of positive ease at the fullest part of your bust.

In addition to the raglan shaping worked from the neck cast-on to the split for the arms and body, 4 additional rows of increases are worked only in the front of the body after the split. These increases create more ease in the front than the back, and add 1.75 inches / 4 cm to the garment’s full bust measurement, which is 1 inch / 2.5 cm below the underarm.

Rachael is wearing size B, with 3 inches / 7.5 cm of positive ease at the full bust. Her full bust is 34.5 inches / 86 cm.
